About Dr. Anthony Krausen

Dr. Anthony Krausen was born in Philadelphia, PA and holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton. Dr. Krausen earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His specialty training lasted seven years. Before settling in Milwaukee, he worked at Barnes Hospital and Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Krausen has been in Milwaukee doing plastic and reconstructive surgery since 1976. For the past 20 years, his practice has been limited to cosmetic surgery.

In the field of cosmetic surgery, Dr. Krausen is unique in so far as all the "stitch work" after surgery, all office treatments, and all follow-up cares are personally administered by Dr. Krausen. It is this personal attention to detail along with his eye for artistically pleasing results that keep his patients loyal. Dr. Krausen is:

• Board certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery

• Board certified in head and neck surgery

• Fellow of the American College of Surgeons

There are many innovations led by or brought to the Milwaukee market by Dr. Krausen.

On a personal note, Dr. Krausen is passionate about art and the Milwaukee Art Museum. He sits on their Board of Trustees. He is married with two grown daughters. When he isn't busy with his patients, Dr. Krausen enjoys skiing, tennis, and hiking in Colorado.

Personal Philosophy

Dr. Krausen has a strong desire to use his artistry to help each patient look and feel better about themselves. His goal is to provide a natural improved appearance, not the plasticized, commercial "wind swept" look that has been in fashion for too many surgeons. Patients should still look like themselves, only 10 or 20 years younger.
