Laser LipoTherme is a new type of laser that helps to shrink excess, baggy skin.

What it is and how it differs

Laser LipoTherme is a 980nm (nanometer) wave length diode laser. Because it operates at this level, the Laser LipoTherme is super-efficient in breaking up fat globules under the skin and shrink wrapping the overlying skin anywhere on the body, face, or neck. Using local anesthesia and moderate sedation (no general anesthesia is used), the Laser LipoTherme is ideal for correcting areas where the removal of smaller amounts of fat and maximal skin tightening are needed.

Expected results

During your initial consultation, Dr. Krausen will use advanced computer imaging to help you see the expected results of the procedures you choose. Assuming no additional weight is gained, results from the Laser LipoTherme are permanent.

Downtime

The incisions from Laser LipoTherme are extremely small. Similar to the Body-Jet, incisions are roughly the size of a half a grain of rice. No stitches are needed and downtime is minimal. A weekend is usually sufficient for people to get back to their daily lives.

When larger amounts of fat removal are required, the Body-Jet and Laser LipoTherme are often used together for best results.

Follow-up appointments

Seven days after your surgery, you will have a follow-up appointment with Dr. Krausen. At this time, Dr. Krausen will review your progress with you. Follow-up for two years post-surgery is included.
